First post.. for the sake of nostalgia.
Is it nostalgia? Or just good old fashioned neurosis?
I have never done this exact thing before, but it feels familiar in the sense that I already have been posting my thoughts online for years.
Years and years, and embarrassing years. Oh, the shame of being perceived. Well, once we get over that, we can get to work. Good, moving on.
I don’t want to be one of those people, the complainers. So this is not a complaint, it’s only for clarity. The reason I am starting this newsletter, aside from the motivational aspect of forcing myself to create even when I don’t want to, to keep the muscle alive (a concept I got from a fellow Blogger whom I may share at a later date if it applies) is for artistic self-preservation.
I don’t want to work on Maggie’s Farm no more.
I don’t want to be a slave to an algorithm, a non-publishing publisher if you will. I want to publish myself, so here we are.
I will share information about my upcoming album, other artists that I am inspired and thrilled by, books, podcasts, videos, anything I think you might like or that could enrich people’s lives somehow. I would like to try to add value to the world, its not always about me.
And maybe at the end of the day I’m just a big show off.
